These are grants offered by the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association to any IATA member in good-standing.
To financially support members of a GLATA committee as they are doing business of that committee at a meeting called by the chair of that committee. For example, an IATA Executive Council member or IATA member who also belongs to a GLATA committee may apply for this grant to attend a special meeting as a GLATA committee member.
a. Funds may be used to reimburse for a district or national committee activity related to meeting needs, communication, travel, housing or other needs associated with committee responsibilities
b. Not to be used to cover cost of public relations, printing or dissemination of information to the association memberships but to assist the committee members with personal costs related to committee operations.
c. Each budget request has a minimum required number of active committee member participants of one. There is no limitation on maximum numbers of participants. If any part of the available funding is not used for the proposed purpose it cannot be stored for the future.
The following Information should be included as appropriate, but is not limited to: specific need for travel related to your committee activities and project, additional funding for travel expenses (state support, etc.), anticipated outcomes related to this travel experience, the direct implications related to your ability to this event, support of your committee chair for your travel, etc.

Due Date: Prior to NATA Annual Symposium, suggested due date of May 1.
This grant is to provide GLATA members with the opportunity for financial assistance to attend the GLATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium. The Executive Council recognizes that Continuing Education Units are very important to maintain certification and that many members may not receive benefits from their employer or have the personal resources to attend the annual GLATA meeting.
Registration fee is waived and other expenses are reimbursed up to $500.
Proof of attendance and receipts must be sent in by April 1st.
Available only once per member.
As of Dec. 31st 2018, two (2) awards will be given

Due Date: Dec. 31st with selection by Feb. 1st and notification by Feb. 15th.
The purpose of this award is to provide monetary support for educational researchers seeking to develop their skills and advance their scholarship through continuing professional development activities. The purpose of the award is not to fund a specific research study, pilot project, or equipment need.
Applicants' use of funds should along with the EAC mission: "The mission of the Education Advancement Committee (EAC) is to identify short-term and long-term educational research priorities, to advance evidence-based scholarship, and to continually assess best practices related to athletic training education in order to enhance clinical practice and patient care."
Funding up to $1000, up to 5 grants awarded per year.
